In-Person Training

Designed for the Collaborative Learner

Train with a group of your peers while learning from an experienced WLUA Official. A traditional training program kicked off with an new officials training webinar, a single-day classroom requirement, and culminating in an on-field evaluation. If you're a team player and have a flexible schedule, this is the program for you. A $40 fee is charged.

Step-by-step In-Person Training

Step 1: WLUA Webinar

A one-hour administrative webinar to provide information on the new officials training. Topics include becoming part of WLUA, becoming an official, and Q&A (certification, uniform, arbiter and game fee structure)

Step 2: Classroom

One day classroom session to cover rules, penalty adminstration, game management, and positioning. Lots of lacrosse officiating dialogue.

Step 3: Evaluation

Complete Webinar, Classroom/Online new officials training. Schedule your on-field evaluation. Your chance to work one-on-one with experienced WLUA Officials.

(Upon passing onfield evaluation, you'll be a WLUA Official with an Apprentice Rating.)
