The Washington Lacrosse Umpires Association (WLUA) is a nonprofit professional organization serving girls' high school and youth lacrosse throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.  As an affiliate of USA Lacrosse, we are committed to excellence, integrity, and consistency in officiating.

Founded in the early 1980s, WLUA recruits, trains, develops, rates, and assigns qualified officials for girls' lacrosse competitions.  Our members officiate high school and youth games for schools, clubs, conferences, and leagues across the region.

Ongoing education is central to our mission.  Through continuous rules training, mechanics, and best practices, our officials provide a safe, fair, and positive experience for student-athletes, coaches, and the lacrosse community.

Whether you're an experienced official or interested in becoming a lacrosse umpire, WLUA offers the training, mentorship, and support needed to succeed.
